With more than 20 different race categories, there is something for everyone and all levels of fitness – even the family pet!
Join in and participate – you will love the feeling of conquering that hill not to mention the cheers and smiles that you will get as you make your way to the top and finish line – all to help kids in hospital!
To celebrate the 20th year of the Balmoral Burn, participants will receive a commemorative 20th anniversary medal on event day. Competitors in the primary school challenge will receive a ribbon.

Humpty’s Run
For hospitals and community groups. Register individually but run as a team! The first four runners from one group to cross the finish line will be the winning team.
Parent & Child (12 & Under)
Tackle the hill together! For up to 2 adults and 3 children (minimum 1 adult and 1 child under 12). Members must cross the finishing line together to receive an official race time.
Years K-2 & Years 3-6 (including Primary School Challenge)
Parents should register their children individually and select their child's school, to ensure their entry is part of the Primary School Challenge. The first FOUR runners from one school to cross the finish line will be the winning team.
Elite Invitational (Queen & King of the Hill)
This event is by invitation only with some of Australia’s top athletes battling it out to take home some serious prize money! For more information please contact us.
Para Burn
An inspiring event! This is an elite wheelchair race by invitation only. All athletes must be registered prior to Race Day and race in a qualified racing chair. Please contact Humpty on balmoralburn@humpty.com.au if you would like more information.
Pet & Owner
There’s even a race for you and your four-legged friend (or even your goldfish!). You can also purchase a PAWTICIPANT dog lead so your pooch can race up Awaba Street in style!
