Hi everyone! We have had to wait two years but finally we are back getting ready for the 20th Balmoral Burn on Sunday the 29th May. I am the Junior Ambassador for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation - a children’s charity that provides vital and often life-saving medical equipment in nearly 500 hospitals all over Australia. I am only 14 and I have already had 133 operations. I know better than anybody how important it is for our hospitals to have the very best equipment so that all the sick children in Australia can get better and go home to their families. At the last Balmoral Burn in 2019 I raised over $31,000 dollars. It’s the biggest single fundraising effort by any individual at the Balmoral Burn ever! I have nerve damage in my legs so it was really hard to make it up the big hill but I did it and every dollar I raised was used to buy life saving equipment for other sick children. This year, I want to try really hard to raise even more more money for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. If you want to walk with me on the day you can join my page 'Laurens Team 2022'. Or you can help me to help other sick children by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. You might want to donate $20 for the 20th Balmoral Burn or even $133 which is $1 for every one of my operations. Any donation big or small will make a difference. I am so grateful for everyone's support! Together we are going to make such a difference to sick children and babies all around Australia. Race day is almost here and I have raised my target to $6650 as that is $50 for every operation I have had so far. Thank you for every single dollar donated towards my target - every dollar makes such a difference!!

Hi everyone, race day is almost here and I can't wait to join the whole Humpty Family as we support sick children all around Australia. It's not too late to register if you would like to join me and my whole family in the Parent and Child race. If you can't attend but would like to make a real difference, every donation, big or small, will help me to help so many sick children. Humpty have helped me get better and now together we can make a difference to other sick children!!

Hi Team, here is another photo of me sleeping after one of my surgeries with so many pieces of medical equipment helping to keep me alive. I am so grateful to every single person who has donated to help me help other sick children. I can't imagine what would have happened to me without the equipment donated by so many people in the Humpty family! It's not too late to sign up to run or walk on the day. I will be heading up in the Parent and child race! I would love it if you could join me!

Each day this week I am going to share a photo from my own health journey to show just how often I have been supported by many pieces of medical equipment to keep me alive. This photo was taken in 2015 in the middle of a 3 month hospital admission. You can see how many pieces of equipment I was attached to even before I was wheeled in for another operation. Every day there are sick children all over Australia who need access to life saving medical equipment just as I have so many times.
